We are a small family run operation located in Middle Grove NY in the Adirondack foothills. Since 2014 we have been raising commercial crossbred cattle with a mix of Hereford, Angus, and Simmental genetics and selling feeder calves at auction, as well as finishing steers on farm for sale of freezer beef. Through the years of navigating the world of a commercial cow/calf producer, we wanted to improve the efficiency and productivity of our brood cows while simultaneously creating a more consistent calf crop that in turn would be more marketable as feeder calves, and as carcasses hanging on a rail at a processing facility. 

After years of consideration we opted to enter the Red Angus business and decided to start up a registered herd alongside the commercial herd. Not only did we want to change things up from black hided cattle, but the accurate and data focused producers and individuals within the association and programs such as the Feeder Calf Certification Program (FCCP), spoke volumes to us if we wanted a more profitable operation. 

In 2021 we purchased a group of foundation Red Angus females and haven’t looked back. In the spring of 2023 we will be having our first crop of Red Angus sired commercial calves as well as some exciting purebred AI calves that will be coming in early March. We believe our roots in the commercial cattle business have prepared us well for our new Red Angus venture. In the years to come we are striving to breed Red Angus cattle that are cost effective, without sacrificing structural correctness and style.
